Favorite part of Endgame? Yeah, ours too. Don’t miss out on this new print to memorialize the awesome!
So hopefully you’ve heard by now, but my characters from SHADOW SENTRY have made their debut. If you haven’t… not to worry, I’ve got you covered and it’s not too late to get in on the action! Shadow sentry is my creator owned comic that I will be launching later this year, it’s an X-men meets the Martrix superhero book with a hint of Supernatural mixed in there for good measure.
I recently launched an Indiegogo campaign to give everyone a foretaste of what’s to come and let you see the characters up close and personal. Although the campaign has ended I will be making the book available in my online store to make sure my fans (and new ones!) have access to this exclusive sneak peek!
Why it’s important?
Not only is it an exclusive sneak peek to brand new characters, but launching a successful indie comic, or creator owned comic, is a tough task to be sure, and it takes a lot of capital. But with the help of my faithful fans, and those that just want to get their hands on good comics again, we can make this happen… together. That’s why I made INKtober 2018, it’s a small sampling of 21 images of my favorite 90’s comics characters from Image, Marvel, and DC, to remember the awesome that was the 90’s, and then give you a taste of what’s to come with 10 characters of my own creation from the SHADOW SENTRY. You’ll get a brief run down of the story and concept as well as the final full color promo art!
For only $15, not only will you getting a great little art book, but you’ll be helping me actualize my life-long goal, and get into production for this soon to be highly coveted book. It really is a WIN- WIN!
It’s a team effort, and I appreciate your help and support, and I look forward to bringing you GREAT ART, AMAZING STORY, and a whole new team to add to your list of favorite books! – Thank you!

So hopefully you’ve seen the trailer for the upcoming movie, THE MEG, the action packed blockbuster about an enormous Megalodon Shark that hits theaters this weekend! What you may not know is that it’s based on the book by Steve Alten, which also was adapted into a super amazing Graphic Novel. I had the privileged of working on the GN with a super talented team: Pencils and character inks by the mighty Mike S. Miller, Colors by the gifted Nanjan, and along with myself who provided the dynamic background inks! That’s right folks – an all-star cast to rival that of the live-action movie!
Don’t believe me… check out some of these amazing pages from the book!
So what does a background inker do exactly you may ask? Well, pretty much anything that is not a human being (and a shark!) I inked, with the exception of a few things that Mike inked for me (nice guy that he is!) But all that background stuff you see, I inked, and did my best that you couldn’t notice that there are actually two guys inking the same page!
So yes, the movie is coming out this weekend, but as you know Hollywood will always make their mark and find a way to change things up from the original source material. Our adaptation however closely follows the book, and will provide a faithful retelling of the epic story from Steve Alten. This was seen to by Mike Miller himself and J.S. Earls, two talented writers. That’s right, Mike Miller writes as well as illustrates! I just keep surprising you don’t I! Haha
If you want to be even more surprised head to the nearest book store and pick up a copy of the Graphic Novel, Meg, and see all the amazing art and story we worked so hard on over the past months! If you’re interested in the comic version, single issues, you’ll have to talk to your local comic shop and order them directly from the publisher the Dabel Brothers.
Just in case you have no idea about THE MEG movie… here’s what you’re missing! The coolest Shark movie since JAWS!
For a while I considered making the jump to put my art on Metal, it seemed like everyone was doing it and I could care less (not to mention it’s expensive!) …After seeing the results though, why wouldn’t I want my art to look as awesome as possible? It really does make a difference! These high quality digital prints on Metal are great, not only do they look good but they are durable and will last a LONG TIME!! The Metal really makes them pop!
When you head to the store you’ll see the Metal prints I currently have, but I can make any print I have into Metal. So if you don’t see it in the Metal prints section don’t worry, just contact me, and I’ll have it made. No extra cost. Just shipping, and the $60.
TIP: When displaying your Metal prints, leave out the glass in your frame, the glass with add an extra glare! Just set it up with a good light source and watch it glow!
I wanted to do a sweet X-Men team shot because I haven’t done too many team shots of characters, and so I wanted to do my favorite era of X books. The 90’s!
Jim Lee has always been my favorite artist, and his infamous run on the X-Men is tops in my comic memories, so I had to do a good tribute. So here it is, hope it brings back good memories for you too!
This years Comic Con was a blast! I’ll admit, it started out a little weird it felt as if something was missing, I can’t explain it. But as I walked around the show floor it all seemed to fade away, and the magic began. Luckily this year I was able to get into Artist Alley at the last minute! Usually I spend my time every year bugging the Artist Alley guys to get me into an open table, (when other artists don’t show) and I’m there every 2 hours checking in. This year I happened to walk up at the right time (just once!) and they had one more table to fill and I got in on Saturday morning! So nice! Above you can see my setup there in AA. I also spent some time outside the convention selling my work, which worked out rather nicely. The shear numbers of people out there walking around make selling very easy!
If you happened to stop by and you wanted to get something and you weren’t able too, have no fear, you can buy most of my art online, on my Square store just Click Here!
Also be sure to check out my social media sites for updates of new artwork, as well as more photos from Comic Con 2015, which I will post to my fb page. Check it out Here!
But here are some cool photos from the show some of the magic I was talking about! Enjoy!
Wizard World Philly is only two weeks away! I’m really excited to be back in my old neighborhood (well sort of, I’m from Jersey originally so, close enough!)
But I’ll be seeing some familiar faces while I’m in town and new ones too I hope! I’ll be located in Artist Alley in D-17 right behind Mike Miller and next to my friend Oly who pimps some awesome art prints from a ton of Artists, so stop by and say “Hi!”
Also I’ll have some new prints for you: Red Hood, Batman, and a cool Captain American iconic front. Check them out! I’ll be a great show for sure, 4 days of fun! Super stoked! See you there!
